As you will see, this website is still very much in the early stages.  Locating information about those who served on the M.S. Texas Sun is proving to be a real challenge. However, I am determined to use my 27 years of research experience to find as many of the "missing" as I can. The Merchant Marines played an important role in supplying our military with oil and other vital supplies during WWII, yet for years they have remained the unsung heroes of the war effort. It is my intent to honor them for their dedication to our great nation.
